Grace, mercy and peace from Christ our Lord be with you all. Amen.

Thank you.

Those are two words we all know, and probably don't use as often as we should. Especially in church.

I want to make sure that I say this to you all now.

Thank you.

Thank you to all that were involved with the resurrection of the Garden Gala.

That was a great event! I don't know who didn't make it out but, if you didn't, you missed a really nice time. Never mind the seemingly endless amount of raffle drawings, and food, and plants. But the sound of laughter, and seeing smiles on people was priceless!

Then there was the Ham Supper. Thank you to All that were involved in the Ham Supper. That too was a lot of fun, to see people gather over a meal, was fantastic. People came from all over to enjoy a fantastic meal, and again the smiles on people's faces, and to hear the sound of laughter is fantastic.

Too often we talk about the amount of work that goes into one of these events, and we talk about what we get out of it, namely the dollars and cents. But what we forget to talk about is the fun factor, or the opportunity for friends to gather, or the ability to let people know that the church is here. That list can go on and on. But we get bogged down in the dollars and cents.

So I want to say thank you to all of you that were involved in putting these events together, or just attending these events. I look forward to many more of these events in the future, and more opportunities for us to gather and laugh and have fun together. And if you haven't helped out at an event, I can tell you first hand, it is a lot of fun, but only if you like to laugh, smile and enjoy seeing family and friends gather and do the same.

Thank you.
